Computer Simulation of Tool PathClose Video |
Computer Simulation of Tool PathThis video shows a computer simulation of the tool path that will create the rear suspension support arm. In other words it show all the steps, motion and tools the CNC machine will be using to create the part. The programming of the tool path was done by Professor Patrick Ferguson at Seneca College (Jane Campus). |

Lifting Arm CheckThe XOF1 lifting arms serve a dual purpose; it lift the array (upper part of the solar car) during normal and emergency operation to allow the driver to exit the solar car and it also work as an array stand. It can tilt the array towards the sun to facilitate charging. Max Buneta, Kevin Tome and Marcelo da Luz were checking the geometry of the lifting arms prior to installing the mounting brackets and gas springs that will assist the driver to lift the array. |
