Dear Marcelo, I’m an Airborne Ranger Paramedic in Afghanistan and I was looking on the google search engine and I found your wonderful dream. Just wanted to wish you luck and express how truly proud I am of your perseverance and determination.
Erik |
With a little research, I found this web-site, after reading an article
in The Toronto Sun about Marcelo's Dream into Action. A most inspiring
story, one that has given me the impetus to take the next leap in my own
life. I too, want to make a difference in this world, and i believe I can
through my writing. My greatest love is writing Children's stories, nature
poetry and some day I hope to write a book, that will inspire others to
reach for their rainbow, whatever it may be.
My daughter, who is 11 now was just studying resources in class recently
and i'm going to talk to her teacher about what I've found out here, and
how one person can make a difference.
Thanks Marcelo for the inspiration.

My name is Daniel M. and I operate a renewable energy company in Newfoundland
and Labrador. I recently read a newspaper article about the trek that your
group is about to take on, and I think that is a great way to show the
general public about solar energy and efficiency. Adding to that, solar
energy works in all parts of the world and what a great country to showcase
that, than to drive from "coast to coast". I am located in the
town of Clarenville 200 km west of St.John's NL, and I am offering my cottage
''powered by both photovoltaics and wind energy
'' for the team to stay in if you wish to do so. It is located just 20 km west of Clarenville, 1 km off the TCH at Thorburn Lake. Also if you would like for me to assist in the tour as it passes through our area I would more than glad to help.
Cheers,
Daniel M. |
I just saw the segment about your car on the Discovery channel. I hope
you succeed. I have no substantial suggestion for you. Of course if I do
think of anything I will contact you. I can also tell my students about
xof1. (I teach college physics at St. John's University in Queens, NY.)
Regardless, I hope God blesses the work at your hands and you succeed at
this task.
Sincerely,
joe, NY |
I am fascinated with your project and will be watching it all the way.
Good luck and best regards,

In July of 1990, I had a dream to build a solar car and race in the 1993
World Solar Challenge in Australia. In November of 1993 I stood
on the starting line of the race next to our car the Suntrakker.
I wish you all the luck and support in the world. What you are doing
will make a difference in peoples lives far beyond what you expect.
