Day 86 - Whitehorse, YT - solar car show and tell at local schools

This morning Andrew was the support crew. We picked up the solar car at its storage location and drove it downtown to Andrew's work at Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Board (YESAB).

At YESAB I meet with John Streiker who took the day off on a last minute noticed to help me out and drive a support vehicle. As the day progress and I got to know John I learned that he is running for the Green party in this election. He was suppose to be getting his own election office ready put his plans on hold to help me out. Wow!!!

I was excited and a bit nervous about doing presentation at schools. I have done a couple of small talks about the project and a one time nerve wracking presentation in front of 800 people in Vasteras, Sweden but it was short, only 15 minutes and 6 of those minutes was a video. In any case, I am looking forward to it, it will be a learning experience.

Presentations took place at the French school Ecole Emelie Tremblay, Elijah Smith Elementary School, Yukon Best Practice Mentorship and a kindergarden school next to the YBPM. We spent about two hours in each school doing presentations in blocks of 30 minutes.
