Day 49 - Inuvik

We woke up (a little late admittedly... those beds are so darn comfy) to another rainy day. Luckily we were all cozy and warm in the chalet.
After a morning interview with Chris from the CBC, we went to town for a quick bite to eat and a little exploring.
The rain eventually let up by late afternoon, and we angled the array towards the sun that was now starting to peek through the clouds. We went to Inuvik for dinner, and returned to listen to Olav's show and tell of his many adventures. Over the years Olav's collected a number of interesting and unique artefacts and they all have an amusing history behind, worth staying at the Arctic Chalet just to hear his tales.

By bedtime, the batteries were fully charged and, XOF1 was ready for another hard day's work.

The tire that looked a little low last night, now appears to be completely flat. That's a total of five tires we can chalk up to the Dempster.
Another rainy day... We watch Xof1 from our nice cozy rooms at the Arctic Chalet.
Olav amusing guests with is show and tell stories at the sun room in the chalet. Note the clock on the wall, 23:15 still sunny outside. Hey,
Squeezing every last bit of energy into those batteries. It's a long way back, and we want a good start.
The batteries full, it is time for Xof1 to take a well deserved rest and retire for the evening.
