Day 33 - Sikami, BC - Fort Nelson, BC

Daybreak, and the sky is overcast. The car is pushed across the street to get a better angle of sun. Douglas and Marcelo work on sodering the rear brake lights.
We leave site at 10:49. Traffic slows and people come running as we roll into Super 8 parking lot around 2pm with the sun shining strong.
83 miles today.
Super 8 is a welcome comfort break for charging up the car, ourselves and our assorted electronics. Mo is beat. Appreciate Douglas' presence to watch over the car as it sits collecting rays and curious stares in front of the Super 8.
Don Reynolds from NAV CANADA company comes over to talk excitedly about the sustainble energy developments his company has been working on and gives us cash donation, fine hats, a great water bottle and the assurance to look into the possibility of his company sponsoring further kms.
We grab some pizza, do some laundry, some internet stuff, get groceries and Douglas heads to Dawson on his own.
We move the car to a spot to better collect the sun rays. Dylan Duguay- Boileau and his mother generously sponsor 40km - thank you!
The sun sets, and we are relieved to be able to move the car behind the security of a fenced in yard where we don't have the hassle of getting it into the trailer.
Mo & Carrie head to bed but Marcelo, in search of a milkshake, somehow finds himself in the pub across the street . . .

Early in the morning before setting up the solar array to charge the batteries, XOF1 on the side of the road.
A deer just a few metres from the solar car.
The morning sky didn't look very promising- overcast and the occasional rain.
Marcelo jumps for joy with his mosquito jacket on.

Super 8! Hoorah!
