Day 31 - Grande Prairie, AB - Fort St.Johns, BC

Somewhat reluctantly, we pulled ourselves out of the comfort of the Super 8 beds, fuelled up on self serve waffles in the breakfast room and set up the Array to charge up for the day. Photo of the X of 1 a d our gracious hosts Trudy Hill and her friendly staff were taken in front of the hotel . We head to the second photo op of the day outside the impressive Centre 2000 and pose with Mayor D. Logan, Alderman Bil Given, Marketing and Communications Manager David Olinger and others. Marcelo is interviewed by a local radio station .

Because of prior commitments, this was as far as Tippy was able to accompany the tour. We bid him a fond farewell and hope he will be joining up with the tour sometime in the future - perhaps at an Alien celebration party in Edmonton?

Sometime after crossing into Pacfic Time Zone, we take a break to check the oil and get some coffee. All is going smoothly, but rather quietly in Tippy's absence.

Pull into Fort St. John's parking lot late afternoon. The efficient front desk man at the Super 8 checks us in quickly and even callls ahead to Fort Nelson Super 8 to ensure that rooms are waiting for us the following evening.
