Day 29 - Edmonton, AB - Touring the town, the media takes attention, new crew arrives

With the tour set to resume tomorrow, today was busy with trip preparations and a few hellos and see you soons! to Edmonton as we will be passing through these parts again on the return journey.

The car was driven around town - meeting and greeting with folks at the local GreenPeace office, the lovely attendants at the bikini car wash, and the Deputy Mayor and city counsellors at the Edmonton City Hall where the media were present to document the occasion. The final stop of the day was at the Edmonton Science Center.

Later that evening, the new crew members were collected from the bus station after their 28 hour journey from Whitehorse. They are- Moritz Noster of Hardegsen, Germany and Carrie McKellar from Vancouver, BC. The newly assembled crew were warmly welcomed into the Saunders home by Jessica, Rosa, Gran and Richard where we were treated to fine company, a delicious dinner crafted by Rosa and an eloquent champagne toast by Jessica. After taking in a view of the city lights, we returnedto the comfort of Ted's home where further preparations were made before finally hitting the hay.
